Players have been anticipating the new mountain and cave biomes since the beginning of 2021. The Minecraft Caves & Cliffs update part 1 was released on June 8th, as Mojang has previously stated.
Unfortunately, the update was underwhelming because the most intriguing features announced at Minecraft Live 2020 were absent.
To ensure that all of the new features were released as seamlessly as possible, the update was split into two parts. Even while the 1.17 update did not include many new features, it did include some handy items and blocks such as spyglass, tinted glass, and dripstone.
Release Date?
Unfortunately, no precise unharness date for the Caves & Cliffs half a pair of updates has been declared. However, Mojang explicit in one in each of their posts that the update would be discharged in late 2021.
The update is predicted to be delivered around the Christmas vacation, in line with Minecraft fans.
Snapshot And Other Information
Snapshots are pre-release copies of the game that are used to test it before each major update. Once the game is released, gamers can test out the new features and report any bugs.
Normal snapshots for version 1.18 will be available around September, according to Mojang. Users can try out some of the world-generation modifications via Minecraft's experimental snapshots and beta versions for the time being.
What are the Main Features in the 1.18 Update?
1) Cave and mountain biomes
With the 1.18 release, three new cave biomes have been added to the game. The lush caves, dripstone caves, and the deep dark are among these biomes. Aside from biomes, the update includes three new noise cave generations: cheese, spaghetti, and noodle.
The height of the world is increasing both uphill and downwards. The player's maximum height will be Y 320, and the world will produce downwards till Y -64. Mountains can reach Y level 260, and caves can generate as low as level -59.
Mountain meadows, tall summits, snowy slopes, snow-capped peaks, and mountain groves will all be introduced as additional sub biomes to the mountains.
2) Sculk and New Mob
Sculks are strange blocks that develop in cave biomes that are deep and gloomy. Sculk sensors are sculk bricks that may be obtained using the "/give" command in the 1.17 version of Sculk.
Sculk sensors are Redstone bricks that detect and produce Redstone signals in response to vibrations. The vibrations might be caused by anything from a player's footfall to the placement of a block.
In the next update, a new monster known as the Warden will be added. The Warden will be the game's first blind mob, although like the sculk sensors, it can feel the vibration.
They are likely to be discovered in the deep dark caverns and will be aggressive towards gamers.
